Congratulations to the Tasmanian Team at the International Cadet Australian Championship held recently at Port Lincoln Yacht Club.
Lewis Noye and Oliver Burnell are the new Australian Champions. Other Tasmanians were Alec Bailey and Sam Bailey (2nd), George Kennedy and Silas Hamilton (3rd), Sophie Chesterman and Ellie Chesterman (4th), Eleanor Ransley and Katie Hudson (5th), Ella Connor and Sophie Bale (16th), Maddy Salter and Laura Barker (31st), Amy Burnell and Toby Burnell (39th), and Bridget Anderson and Lucy Slevin-Jones (51st).

From the Australian Youth Championship at Mandurah, congratulations to Lucy Shephard and Amelia Catt (5th Girls 420), Elliott Noye (7th Laser Radial), and Douglas Shephard and Edward Snowball (22nd Boys 420). Lucy and Amelia finished 24th overall and were 3rd Australian Girls at the Australian 420 Championship held at Royal Perth Yacht Club, while Douglas and Edward finished 42nd in that regatta. Elliott finished 16th in the Australian Laser Championship held at Fremantle Sailing Club.

Sandy Bay Sailing Club is an Australian sailing organisation based in Sandy Bay, Tasmania. Situated on the picturesque Derwent River, the Club provides a friendly but competitive environment for its members. Formed on 1 March 1948, the club has since grown to accommodate a wide range of dinghy classes such as International Cadets, Lasers and International Optimists. The Club caters for sailors of all levels of experience and skill, from beginners to advanced sailors.

SBSC has a variety of different sailing classes, allowing for sailors of all ages to participate, from junior sailors in both the Optimist and Cadet, older teenagers and young adults in the 420, and any age group in both the Laser and Laser Radial. A recent exciting addition to the Club is the Formula Windsurfer class.
